Merry Christmas,
Memory Bound friends!
In a recent post, Katie shared photos of a wonderful December Daily album which our store manager Diane made for her daughter. Well, hold onto your stocking caps because Diane just finished a SECOND December Daily album for herself! In today's post, we'll take at this beautiful project.
What's a December Daily? This is a small album (sometimes called a December Journal) which you create ahead of time with a page or pages for each day of December. Then throughout the month, you document your holiday activities by adding a picture, recipe, program, card, or memory...anything you did that day to celebrate the season. By the end of the month, you have a keepsake you'll treasure for years to come!
Now, back to Diane's album. First off, I LOVE the size she chose to use for this album -- 6x12! This size allows ample room for 4x6 photos. Diane used 6x12 page protectors by American Crafts (just $3.99 for a package of 10) throughout her album.
Diane used corrugated cardboard (peeled and distressed) for the covers, along with a variety of vintage Christmas papers and elements.

Here's a peek inside at just a few of the pages. As you can see, Diane incorporated burlap into her album. It adds a warmth and texture to any project!
This glittered snowflake adds a beautiful vintage touch! Diane cut the snowflake out of chipboard using one of the dies in our Accu Cut die cutting center, then coated it with Glossy Accents and sprinkled it with our favorite glitter, Silver Crushed Glass Glitter by Stampendous.
It is unlike any other glitter! Stop in and pick some up! Diane even made a set of chipboard glittered ornaments for her Christmas tree.
Diane took the time to add lots of details to her project while leaving plenty of space to add a photo, recipe, or other memory for each day of the month. I love how she created the rosette with die cut holly leaves tucked behind it.
This flashcard provides a different page size. It's easy to incorporate differently-sized pages when you're working with a ring-bound album.
Diane cut a 12x12 sheet of paper to feature the old-world Santa at the left. The right page includes a small bag with a pull-out tag for journaling.
Thanks to Diane for sharing another wonderful project with us! If you'd like to make a December Daily album, stop in! We'd love to help you get started making your own keepsake to celebrate the holiday season.
