Happy Holidays,
Memory Bound friends!
Katie made this adorable Christmas banner using tags and stickers. With the bright colors and fun images, it just couldn't be cuter! I love how she connected two tags to allow for wider pieces such as the "Merry Christmas" title. This would be a fun project to make with kids -- especially if you are being visited by an Elf on the Shelf this season! :)
We have everything you need to make this sweet holiday project. Stop in and pick up your supplies today!

Hello, Memory Bound friends!
Today we would like to share a fun and easy canvas project created by Diane. If you're looking for a beautiful handmade gift idea for the holidays, look no further! Diane created this lovely Christmas canvas using favorite childhood photos of her family. She adhered pretty Christmas paper to a canvas and added stenciling, glitter, and embossed letters. In just a couple of hours, her canvas was finished!
Pick your canvas: We have everything you'll need to create your own canvas project! You'll start with a canvas, available in a variety of sizes.
Choose your paper: Next you'll choose a sheet of holiday paper. If you'd like to display your canvas in your own home, pick a paper which matches your home decor.
Distress the canvas: To give the canvas a vintage look, Diane inked the edges with Distress Ink (Forest Moss and Fire Brick) and a small blending tool. To
add a bit of vintage shine, she finished off the edges with the Ranger Silver Adirondack Acrylic Paint Dabber.
Distress and customize the paper: Next she tore the edges of the paper and inked it with the same colors of Distress Ink. She added a few stenciled images here and there on the paper for additional depth and detail, applying color with the same Distress Ink. She highlighted the edges with the same silver paint dabber she used on the canvas.
Adhere the paper to the canvas: After her paper was customized, she adhered it to the canvas with Multi-Medium Matte. This product is like a thick white glue but it is designed for mixed media projects.
Heat emboss letters: While the canvas was drying, Diane embossed black plastic letters for her project, transforming them into vintage silver. This was Diane's first time trying this technique and she found it easy and fun!
Diane heat embossed the word "believe" using Aged Silver Embossing Enamel. She simply applied Distress Embossing Ink to the letters, sprinkled them with Aged Silver Embossing Enamel, then heated them with a heat gun. Once the canvas was dry, she adhered the shiny letters in the lower right corner using Glossy Accents.
Add photos and final touches: After adhering her photos, she finished off the canvas with a thin line of Silver Crushed Glass
Glitter around the edges of her project, adhered with Glossy Accents.
Thanks to Diane for inspiring us with her beautiful project! Stop in to get started planning your own. We'll help you find everything you need to make a beautiful home decor piece for yourself -- or everyone in your family!

"SELFIE" is making the news! A selfie is a photo taken of oneself and often posted on social media. It was recognized as the 2013 Word of the Year by Oxford dictionaries. It's usage was up 17,000% from 2012 (really, 17,000%!). The editors picked it as the word that best reflects "the mood of the times."
"Selfie" made news again recently when Ellen Degeneres took a selfie photo in the audience at the Oscars. That photo has gone viral!
One of our favorite vendors Reminisce added a selfie themed paper and sticker to its most recent collection.
Have you got selfies? Print them because we have the most adorable book for you to post them in! To go along with our March theme of folded crafting, It's an accordion style album using the new selfie paper & stickers by Reminisce. AND -- it comes in a kit with instructions and everything you need to create it!
