Tuesday, April

Instructor: Maggie Benge / Fee: $10 / Skill Level: Any
Bring Basic Class Kit plus the following supplies (for April class):
Distress Ink: Worn Lipstick or any pink,
Distress Ink: Gathered Twigs or your favorite brown, Matte Medium, brayer, heat tool, X-Acto knife, blending tool, splat mat, Glossy Accents, Radiant Rain Shimmering Mist: Gold Pearl Mist OR Perfect Pearls: Heirloom Gold
If you've been hearing about MIXED MEDIA and wonder
what it's all about, we have the perfect way for you to explore! Our Mixed Media group
meets monthly & creates a project with various mixed media techniques.
These fun techniques can then be used for your altered books, art journals, cards, tags,
or other crafting projects. Each month’s project will be displayed at the store
by the first of each month, along with a list of supplies needed for that
month’s class.

Dawn & I just returned from the Craft and Hobby Trade Show (known as CHA) in Anaheim, CA! Hundreds of vendors set up creative and exciting booths to show their product lines - we try to visit them all and this is where we write orders for the store. Can you imagine how much fun it is to shop for product for Memory Bound!!

Yes, our feet get tired; and yes, it's sometimes hard to decide what to buy -- but it's all worth the fun, laughs, and inspiration we get! And we love seeing people we know like other store owners, vendors, and industry people. It's really fun to see others from Iowa like Betsy Flot and Matt & Ryan from Reminisce!

The Reminisce gang traveled from Iowa to set up their booth. Their new release is awesome -- we had it all ordered before we got to the show!
Inspiration is a big thing we take home from the show -- so many projects & ideas we see! We wanted to share that with our customers so we've posted over 300 photos in our CHA Winter 2012 Album on FaceBook.

Dawn and I are sitting in the airport ready to come home and thought we'd let you know about another company release that we liked: OCTOBER AFTERNOON. We loved their Cake Walk and 9 to 5 collections!

Dawn & I spent our first day at the Craft & Hobby Trade Show (in CA - beautiful weather with 80 degrees!) finding all kinds of fun product for Memory Bound. Our feet are tired but our minds are excited with INSPIRATION! Here's a few things we saw today in the Canvas Corp booth. We hope to make a sample of this adorable Easter wall hanging. We also ordered all colors of their fabric flowers. We're adding more pics to our FACE BOOK page, so check there later.
