Hello, Memory Bound friends!
One of the many great things about working at our store is being surrounded by creative people. Case in point: Michele recently showed me the flip albums she made to showcase her daughter April's photos. She created them from some old promotional calendars which were destined to be tossed. GREEN and creative at the same time...you can't get much better than that!
Here's what the calendars looked like before she started. I'm sure you've seen them before. Perhaps you've even received them free in the mail. Now you know not to throw them out! :)

The calendar is intended to stand for desktop use, making it perfect for a mini-album!
And here's the cover of Michele's adorable "Friends" Flip Album, covered with fun patterned paper and cardstock -- and embellished with a little BLING!
Click on the collage below to see more photos of Michele's album. As you can see, she printed her photos in small sizes to fit the scale of the album. This allowed her to use many, many pictures in her project! If you look closely, you'll see that Michele used Liquid Pearls around the outsides of some of the photos, outlining them to create a metallic frame. I love that idea!
Michele has been making flip albums in a variety of themes in preparation for April's graduation in 2013. She reports that the small format has made it fun and easy to get a lot of scrapbooking done quickly! Click on the collage below to get a closer look at Michele's school-themed flip album. I love seeing the school photos lined up along the bottom of the page. How time flies -- especially when you're the mom of a graduating senior!
