My New Favorite: JUNK BINDER

Since Katie introduced the Junk Binder concept at Memory Bound, I've found they are my new favorite thing. The randomness of a junk binder makes it perfect to include not only photos & journaling, but also your memorabilia.

I started a Junk Binder to record my husband's and my 2010 happenings. I cut the covers from a hardbound book and added 7 Gypsies book tape, but you can also use chipboard and cover it with paper. I used book rings for binding so that it can expand. Each month has a tab and calendar. For memorabilia, I just punch holes with my Crop-A-Dile and add it like a page.

When I started out, I didn't expect to have much for our 2010 junk binder, but it is surprisingly very full! I've had so much fun recording things we've done. As I look back through it, I'm reminded of things I forgot even happened.

Here are memorabilia examples I've included:
  • movie/concert tickets
  • postcards
  • business cards
  • envelopes
  • die cuts
  • brochures
  • birthday/thank you cards
  • newspaper article (reduced on Memory Bound copier)
  • invitation
  • name tag
  • menus
  • wedding program

Take a look --- doesn't it look like fun!!
