If you or someone you know would like to get started scrapbooking, we invite you to join us for one of our upcoming Beginners' Scrapbooking Classes. Scrapbooking is an amazing hobby and we would love to help you get started!

 

In class, we discuss the PRODUCTS you'll need and the PROCESS of making a layout. Then we assist each student individually in creating a page. Along the way, we discuss color and design principles and look at lots of samples so students can start to determine their own scrapbooking style. It's always a fun time!

New Idea Books for Card Making & Scrapbooking!

We just received an assortment of new sketch books you're going to LOVE! We have one new card making book and several for scrapbooking. These books are wonderful tools to get you started when you are "stuck" and need a design idea, or start to feel like all of your creations are looking the same! At $15.99 each, the books are a great value! I also love the spiral binding which keeps them flat when you are working!

Here's a sample from the card sketch book. I love these sketches because they provide dimensions and additional suggestions for how to use the design. The possibilities are endless! 

We have several new sketch books for scrapbooking, each filled with very versatile design ideas! Here's a sample page from one of the books. Like the card sketch book, dimensions are provided and the designers also give suggestions on where to use solid colors versus patterned paper. If you struggle with how to use patterned paper on your layouts, you'll love this feature!

Bring  Basic Class kit, Matte Medium, Glossy Accents, Distress Ink: Gathered Twigs or your favorite brown, blending tool, foam brush, Liquid Pearls: Gold Pearl or Platinum Pearl, Espresso Paint Dabber, embossing ink pad, WOW Embossing Powder: Metallic Platinum Sparkle, and heat tool. Optional: distressing tool and brayer.

Decorate your home for the holidays with this mixed media canvas! Enjoy getting your hands a little messy as we create a 9"x12" canvas board with paints, inks, stamps, & embossing. Mix it all together and bring JOY to your home this holiday season!

We are getting a head start on the holidays at Memory Bound! Each Wednesday afternoon in July, we'll be offering a holiday-themed make-n-take designed by Taylor of Taylored Expressions. You will love Taylor's projects which feature her wonderful stamps and dies!

Our next project is this lovely winter wonderland card featuring bright red cardinals on a frosty die cut background. Drop by anytime between 1 and 6 pm on Wednesday, July 9 to make this beautiful card featuring fun techniques. See you then!

New Die-Cutting Tool: Little B Perfect Positioner

If you've got a manual die-cutting machine such as the Big Shot or the Vagabond, you'll want to check out the great new tool we just received, The Little B Perfect Positioner. This innovative tool (just $3.99) received awards and lots of attention at the January Craft & Hobby Association show.

The clear grid mat is sticky on both sides and will stick to any cutting platform (including the 6" and magnetic platforms) to hold your dies in place. The grid is similar to a quilting grid, allowing for precise placement of your dies. Take a look at this video to see how it works:
