Make a Colorful Envelope Album - August 9

 Hello, Memory Bound friends!

On my desk sits a pencil cup I use every day. My daughter fashioned it from an ordinary tin can many years ago. From its outward bling, you might never guess this pencil holder had such humble beginnings! 

It's fun to start with something very "everyday" and transform it into something very special! We'll be doing just that in our upcoming Bold & Beautiful Envelope Album class, as we start with very ordinary envelopes and give them new life! Join me for what promises to be a fun afternoon! Saturday, August 9, 1:30-3:30pm

Bring Basic Class Kit, scoring board or blade, pop dots, Glue Dots, 1/8” Scor Tape AND ½” Scor Tape, Crop-A-Dile, and border punch of your choice.  

Transform 5 ordinary policy envelopes into a colorful, versatile album with lots of space for photos and memories! We’ll use the beautiful Bohemian Bazaar papers by Graphic 45 to create an album which can be adapted to any theme. The design is easy to replicate and makes a great gift album.

We've had a great time this month at our Wednesday Workshop Make-N-Takes featuring holiday-themed cards designed by Taylor of Taylored Expressions!

If you or someone you know would like to get started scrapbooking, we invite you to join us for one of our upcoming Beginners' Scrapbooking Classes. Scrapbooking is an amazing hobby and we would love to help you get started!

 

In class, we discuss the PRODUCTS you'll need and the PROCESS of making a layout. Then we assist each student individually in creating a page. Along the way, we discuss color and design principles and look at lots of samples so students can start to determine their own scrapbooking style. It's always a fun time!

Capture Your Iowa State Fair Memories - Aug 3!

 

 Hello, Memory Bound friends!

Do you love the Iowa State Fair? For so many of us, the fair represents all the best Iowa has to offer: Great food, entertainment, rides, camping, and much, much more. My parents started taking me camping at the Iowa State Fair when I was just a baby, and we camped all the way through my high school years. We started camping again when my daughter was born, so I have spent a LOT of time at the fair! I think I know the fairgrounds better than most any place else in the world! :)

The great thing about the fair is that everyone experiences it differently. Some of us love the giant cinnamon rolls...

Others enjoy a walk through the lovely Pella Plaza.

Some of us still try to fit through the tunnel in the children's garden behind the Agriculture Building!

And some of us like hanging out with the goats!
