JOY Tri-Fold
This fabulous holiday decoration can be customized to fit your home's decor! Start with the hinged tri-fold and add your own flair!
JOY Tri-fold Instructions:
1. Paint the tri-fold white.
2. Trace around the paper of your choice and adhere
to tri-fold with multi medium - matte.
3. Sand edges of paper and ink with Antique Linen
Distress Ink.
4. Adhere Merry Christmas ribbon to the tri-fold
allowing enough “slack” so you can bend the tri-fold.
5. Cut and adhere the burlap over top of the Merry
Christmas ribbon. I used multi medium - matte.
6. Adhere the cardstock letters on top of the
burlap.
BELIEVE Santa Canvas Board
This piece would make a beautiful vintage wall-hanging or mantel decoration for Christmas! Transform a blank canvas board with a sheet of holiday paper.
BELIEVE Santa Canvas Board Instructions:
1. Paint edges of canvas board black.
2. Spritz paper with water. Scrunch the paper and then lay flat. Allow to dry.
3. Sand the paper and brush very lightly with a dry
foam brush dipped in black paint.
4. Adhere paper to the canvas board using multi medium
– matte.
5. Paint with a coat of Ranger Distress Crackle
Paint – Rock Candy.
6. Distress a small doily using Distress Ink in
Peeled Paint. Dry brush edges of doily
with the black paint.
7. Cut holly and twig from Tim Holtz die. Brush with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint –
Rock Candy.
8. Adhere doily to the corner of the canvas board
using multi-medium – matte.
9. Adhere the holly and twig on top of the doily
using a glue gun.
10. Adhere bells by the holly.
11. Emboss some of Santa’s beard, fur, and the snow
on the tree using Stampendous Aged Ivory embossing powder.
Snowflake Frame
This festive frame would make a wonderful holiday gift. Just add your family's photo!
Snowflake Frame Instructions:
1. Cut snowflakes from chipboard and adhere to old
frame.
2. Cover snowflakes and frame with Ranger Metal
Tape sheets cut the right size.
3. Using and embossing tool, rub into the corners
of the snowflakes and any other design you wish to put on the frame.
4. Distress the frame using hammers, combs, any
tool you can find.
5. Lightly brush black acrylic paint over the frame
and while it is still wet, rub off the paint with a paper towel. You can add more black paint or wet your
paper towel to remove the paint until you get the desired look.
Monogram Canvas
This elegant canvas would be perfect on a mantel or in an entryway!
Monogram Canvas Instructions:
1. Paint part of the canvas with white paint and
some with brown paint. Allow to dry.
2. Paint a layer of black paint over top and allow
to dry.
3. Sand edges and top of canvas until some of the
lower layers of paint show through.
4. Brush Tea Dye Distress Stain over the whole
canvas.
5. Apply a thick layer of Rock Candy Distress
Crackle Paint if you want the aged cracked look on your canvas.
6. Paint your wood letter with Silver paint. Apply it very thick in some areas. Keep some of your brush strokes because that
is what makes the ridges in the letter giving it a more metallic look. Allow to dry.
7. Apply a thin layer of black paint and
immediately try to wipe some of it off with a damp paper towel. The black paint will stay in the valleys of
your paint. Keep applying and wiping off
the black paint until you get the desired look.

Hello, Memory Bound friends!
It's Day 2 of our SNEAK PEEKS into just a few of the fun ideas and projects you'll find at our Make it Merry Holiday Open House. Stop in Friday-Sunday, November 1-3 for all kinds of holiday inspiration, including lots of project kits like the one we're sharing today!
December Journals have become super popular in recent years! The idea behind this concept is to create a fun album to document your holiday activities for the month of December. You make the album in advance, then each day add a photo, recipe, shopping list, school program....anything you'd like. By the end of the month you have an album you'll treasure for years to come!
This year, we've made it easy for you to participate in the fun! Our December Journal Kit contains everything you need to create the album, including step by step instructions and color photos. It has space for anything you'd like to add, and the rings allow you to incorporate even more pages and larger memorabilia. Keep it for yourself or give it as an early holiday gift!
I had lots of fun putting together this project and I know you will, too! Here's a peek at the cover and some of the pages in the album:
