A Mini-Album!

Hello, Memory Bound Friends!
When the new WeR 4x4 mini albums arrived at the store, my biggest decision was what color to get...black or gray? I decided on gray, grabbed a couple of refills and started to scrap our spring break mini-vacation!
I must be honest, when I first started working on this album, I was frustrated. The 2x2 squares just seemed SO small!!

But, as soon as I got in my groove though, I LOVED working with this album and able to create the entire thing in just a couple days!

I used several Bella Blvd. 2x2 insta-squares. I wanted the book to be bright and colorful and these squares worked perfectly.  I also used a lot of the Simple Stories DIY stickers.

I printed off the pictures in square format, which worked out perfect for the 4x4 pages.

I will definitely be making another 4x4 album!

In my next album I will "enlist" a little help from some of these new Snap products such as these Photo Flip Pockets.
The pockets come in 4x3, 4x4 and 4x6.  I picked up the Variety Pack so I got a few of each pocket size. I can't wait to try these out and add a few more photos to my next album in a creative manner!

Another product that will be a must are these wonderful photo crops.  The heavy plastic pieces come in four sizes: 4x6, 4x4, 3x4, 3x3 and 2x2.

As the ad says, all you need to do is put the overlay on your photo and crop! This will be a great help especially with the smaller sized pictures, such as the 2x2!

Simple Stories Snap has also released amazing new sets of insta-squares. I picked up the "Dog" pieces and plan on making a fun 4x4 mini-album dedicated to our Golden Retriever, Moose!

This is Moose!

And these are the "dog" insta-squares!
(Don't worry, they come in "Cat" theme too!)
Each theme of insta-squares contain die cuts, 4x4, 3x3 and 2x2 squares. Perfect for a mini-album!

Click here to check out more insta-square themes!

Hope you have found something that inspires you to create something today! If you can't make it to the store and would like us to hold something for you, give us a call at 515-965-1102.

  Hello, Memory Bound friends!
Have you heard about Copic Markers? These markers are preferred by artists the world over because they're made with an alcohol-based ink which gives vibrant colors and allows smooth blending. Paper crafters use Copic Markers to color stamped images which can be used on cards, scrapbook pages, tags, gift bags, and so much more. You’ll love how easy they are to use and how professional your projects will look!

Katie makes learning about Copic Markers easy and great fun! I hope you'll join her at our next Copic Marker Basics class. Check out the details below, then give us a call at (515) 965-1102 to register!

Fun Times at the Girls' Night Out Crop

Our Girls' Night Out group recently gathered for a crop at Memory Bound. It was a great afternoon of laughter, food, scrapbooking, more food, and fun! Oh, and did I mention FOOD? It seems that great food is a common denominator for any Girls' Night Out event! :)

Diane took a few pictures throughout the afternoon which capture just a tiny bit of the fun of this great day!

Jennifer (who also works at Memory Bound) moved here from Oklahoma a few years back and is still adjusting to the snow. Poor Jennifer...this has been a rough winter for her!

Karen is always working on something fun and creative!

LeAnn's latest project is an album called "My Life Now". What a great way to capture the details about a point in time.

Janis completed a set of cards at the crop (instructions and materials are available at Memory Bound). Janis reports that she had a great time working on the cards and now has many to add to her inventory!

Mary spent the afternoon getting started on a big project which involved constructing an album from scratch!

Jill created several beautiful cards that afternoon. Jill enjoys making cards and mini-books with intricate folds and pockets.

RaNae always has several great projects in the works! On this particular afternoon, she was working on a mini-album for a shower.

Diana was finishing up a birthday album for her granddaughter who shares her love of crafting! Hannah recently attended a crop with Diana.

Diane was finishing up an Easter album for one of her grandsons, Gavin. Diane makes a holiday album for each child with space to include photos for several years. It's easy for the boys' mom to add special photos for each holiday.

As you can see, a GREAT time was had by all! Our Girls' Night Out group meets monthly for fun and inspiration and occasionally holds special events like this one. You can read more about Girls' Night Out HERE. Our next meeting is set for Monday evening, April 14, 6-7:30pm. It's FREE and always lots of fun! Give us a call at (515) 965-1102 if you'd like to come!
